Join Boston-based designer Stephanie in binding your very own book! As part of this beginner’s workshop, we will be discussing:

• Recommended tools & materials

• Deciding on what kind of book to make

• Different binding techniques

• Recommended resources

You will also have a chance to bind along with Stephanie as she demonstrates two different binding styles, one of which you’ll be able to follow along at home with just a few resources. If you would like to bind along, please bring with you:

• A sewing needle and thread

• Paper (Bonus if you have two thicknesses of paper!)

• Scissors

About the Presenter

Stephanie Bogle is a graphic designer based in Boston, MA. She attended Massachusetts College of Art & Design where she developed skills in the crafts of bookbinding and typography. Since then, she's collaborated on print and web design projects with institutions including MIT and Woodwell Climate Research Center. She continues to make books as a creative outlet and as gifts.
