What is podcasting? What makes it different from radio, or other types of media? How do you get started? This introductory class will explore how to determine content, structure, and format for your podcast idea. Each participant will be guided in creating a clear and achievable podcast plan, a focus statement, and explore some basic DIY recording options.

Heather Mack is the Youth Media Program Director and Boston Free Radio Station Manager at Somerville Media Center. She produces a podcast called Make it Stop reviewing terrible albums with quirky guests from the Boston music scene and is also a musician and wrestler with BLOWW.
